hi there!

Post by footwork on Mon 29 Dec 2008, 11:24

Hello! hello

A friend steered me to this forum; and I've had the best time reading the glossary. Razz
I'm a dubber - who knew? - and I back the Blues, even if they aren't quite at the top of the pile just now. Razz

Steve Waugh is a hero of mine, for better or worse. applause I love Ponting's batting and loathe his Captaincy; and I have a strange turn at any mention of the English Captain's name.

Watching the Test over the last two days, it would've helped if I'd been drunken

I've only read a few threads so far, but they've been fun. Very Happy

Hello footwork! hello

Nice to see you applause

The glossary's a hoot for a newbie ... it's missing TGK so might have to use the long form for a while ... can't bring myself to say 'fleas' Razz

Thanks for the welcome!
I don't quite know how I'm upsetting horace, but it's nice to know I'm making someone else happy, hehe!
I also like Katich, so I guess now a horace-friendship is totally out of the question?? Laughing

Hi simkat - btw, who the hell ARE you?? Shocked

Just jokes! hello
Thanks for pointing me in this direction; although maybe I'd better brace for the onslaught, since SA are doing us in a doddle!! What a great win it'll be for them - and it'll be chopping block time for us. Sad

You'll find out about horace in time.
Just be prepared for some robust discussions, you'lll have a good time.
And don't forget to check out the glossary.

Thanks for the welcome skully! As a Simpsons tragic, your avi makes me chuckle, hehe!!
And thanks to all for your friendliness.

One thing - What is the one-word reply, 'sage'? If it's the bleeding obvious I apologize.
It's not in the glossary, so is it just a forum word, or an in-word?? Or does it just mean 'wise answer' ?? Razz

Yeah, "sage" just means "wise". Generally a quick post to agree with a particularly wise and insightful comment.

I suppose at some stage we're going to have to leave the warm embrace of the welcome threads and head out into the real world ...
