Footwork and I met on a non-sport forum. For the last year we've been talking cricket together in the forum's GD area - when I came across this forum, I thought footwork would appreciate the humour so I passed on the link. I can assure you we are both brand spankin' newbies with not a guise between us.
I'd be more than happy to PM admin or a mod the forum link if they would like to verify.
good for you both, ya both sound like terrific additions...wot zat said...get on the main pages

Re: hi there!
Thanks horace.
I've tried a few forays onto the main pages, but I fear I'm both a yawning bore and an Obvious-sayer - the double threat!!
Plod it is then, until I find my feet...

Re: hi there!
crikey...half the forum members (the pomgolian ones) are prof. bores...nothing wrong either about the stating the bleeding obvious....the bleeding obvious is often a truth that requires some reiteration, eg:
1 koalas are over rated
2 mumu's action is a throw.
3 pommy test team are hopeless but never serious - ie they are funny.
4 irrespective of form Oz cricketers coming from NSW get a better deal than players from other states

Re: hi there!
I had to look up the glossary three times just to answer this.
Can't agree on the koalas - they may be protected but it's only because they're so valuable - well maybe not Kjnr, hehe. All the rest, I have to concur - although the last one pains me, being NSW born and bred.
Maybe the bleeding obvious isn't too bad after all - although I'll try to manoeuvre my way around it in future.

Re: hi there!
I like stating the bleeding obvious, it's good for your soul sometimes.
And don't worry about being boring, footwork, we all are when we get on our own personal little bandwagons.

Re: hi there!
Is there such a thing as a personal bandwagon :?:
I thought bandwagons were by nature all about being part of something.

Possibly, maybe personal crusades would be a better description.

See, that's the difference with we dubbers. You call it an 'affliction' while I call it a 'whopping bloody great bonus'!! Woohoo!!
I'll get onto the main pages now, while the getting's good...

Thanks! I only have a cuppla personal bandwagons/crusades, and one of those has to do with Brett Lee (can't bring myself to call him B.u.n.g yet, hehe).
However, since he seems to be persona non grata, I could find myself knee-deep in manure!!

Re: hi there!
Hi blackadder, thanks for the welcome.
Hehehe. Had no idea we Spivs were so superior, but I can live with it!
Must say our little spivs went well today and at least made some impact. However, I'm not mentioning the Blues' position on both tables atm.

Re: hi there!
Being superior is a something all Spivs are born with, it is in our genes.
Once again it is left to us to rescue the national team.
As for the domestic side of things just making the other states feel like they have a chance, just to make things interesting.

Well let's hope we can shine a little light with Bollinger today.
As for the domestic game, I think we've well and truly proved our point, hehe!!
