Re: House
It had the chick from 'That 70s Show' (And not the good-looking one.) Of course it was going to be boring. Even the twist in the tale was predictable.

Who cares if it was only t20, it was still a hell of a hitting spree.

Re: House
I think it was just too much "Formula House".
Weird symptoms, lots of hit and miss diagnoses, a funny Wilson/House B-story and the inevitable House epiphany.
I reckon they could've done more with the Chase good-looks angle and the speed-dating. Wouldn't have hurt if Chase and 13 got down and dirty in the change room.

I read this as "dull cadaver" when I first skimmed it.PeterCS wrote:I find it a rather dull palaver. Should have stopped at Series 01.

Re: House
S06E15 - Black Hole. Pretty grouse epi.
- Spoiler:
- Yeah, it had the inevitable epiphany at the end but the lead up was much more fun and interesting than last week.
17 year old babe gets very sick very quick, and it's a total mystery. Humourously, the team comes up with a disease caught from orally received semen, but it's a dead end.
Out if ideas, House suggests Cognitive Recognition to see what her mind is triggering and it reveals she is hiding a deep dark secret but they aren't sure what.
The B and C stories are House on Taub's back about letting his dramas with his wife interfere with his work (hilarious scene where House pinches Taub's phone and starts texting suggestive stuff to Taub's wife), and House insisting that Wilson furnishes the condo with furniture that says "Wilson" not "interior decorator".
House believes Taub is cheating, is convinced otherwise but then the epi ends with it seeming likely that the little Jew is actually cheating. Wilson ends up getting a decorator to do the furniture but appeases House with the purchase of a classic double keyboard organ which he grins at and proceeds to play "Whiter Shade of Pale" on (talented man, Hugh Laurie).
The kicker with the patient is that she'd had a drunken fling with her boyfriend's Dad, who is an importer and gave her a nasty Egyptian parasite. Her inner guilt was causing massive hallucinations and a psychosomatic reaction that was screwing with her physical health. House's epiphany came while he was lecturing Taub about the ills of the urge to bonk much younger women (which it appears Taub may still be doing).
Line of the epi...
Taub [dryly]: She was screaming she was being sucked into a black hole so we should look for a tumour in her anus.

Re: House
Much better than the previous week's offering.
- Spoiler:
- And how about the bloke rooting the son's boyfriend? That's more than going the grope on a 23 year old...

Sagest thing on this entire thread.
Unfortunately, that pleasant mental image was quickly erased when I saw JBs avatar.
