It also makes you believe that Monty is a genius as most of us could never land it in the same spot 6 deliveries per over.

Actually, it tends to make me wonder how people who are so talented can so often bowl such a pile of utter shite.

Suppose it backs up the idea that cricket is played in the mind aswell as on the field.

I don't think it computed with poor Monty that appealing was less important than bowling variation.

Speaking of Panesar, Tredwell's success surely floors his future England hopes? Rashid is next in line, one would imagine.

Monty should emigrate to Australia to get a game. (but it would be wise if he avoided melbourne)

I was piss poor too - but I still played lots. You just have to find a comp that it is as crap as you.

You're probably too good for the Warriors

Murali must know more about the game than anyone then.

The best pace bowler in the 'best' team I played for Smerky was a man who, otherwise actually quite good,. had the fixed idea that in order to bowl a slower ball you had to 'suddenly' slow your bowling arm through delivery....*

So don't knock yourself.

* So help me god, he did get quite a few wickets that way against teams that had never seen or heard of him. Never afterward though, but the look on the batsman's face....

Can't bowl anymore. Got a constantly bad arm. Can't even throw a ball properly at the minute. I know how Monty feels. Therefore it's batting only, with fielding at slip. Yeah, I'm going to get into a team with those being my credentials.

I actually managed to bounce out one of my team-mates on Sunday! Awesome, it was like watchin Dale Steyn work a batsman over - short, into the ribs, went for the pull shot, straight up as it was on to him too quick. As I am captain this year, I might even fulfill a life's ambition and bowl a ball in league cricket. I have the power! I can do it! bounce

Fair play Lever. Although the Scottish should be like a big bag o' spasmos, so you're almost bullying the disabled. You should call yourself JKL on the team sheet.....
