I'm sure if Pakistan can rack up 250-ish they've got every chance of winning the match...just like the last two games....
Actually in the last game I went to see at the Oval, Worcs racked up well in excess of 300 off 40 overs so it could be very high scoring indeed.

Ah, the Ovular - a place which boasts multiple name changes ... Brit, Fosters, Dickhead ... to name but three.
High scoring track, nothing in it for the bowlers, a lack of atmosphere at the ground, boring spectators.... can't expect much more from a ground that host a team who've finished even LOWER than Middlesex in the 2nd Division of the CC.
Pah ........ this is sh!t "cricket" ........... Roll on the Ashes ....

No argument from me, Merls. Merely trying to generate some discussion surrounding the Great Game, even if in a meaningless thread.
Fark it's quiet.

Actually if you look at the table you'll see Surrey comfortably ensconsed above Middlesex.

Re: England v Pakistan, 3rd ODI, The Oval, Sep 17, 2010
Why the 5-day gap anyway? I suppose giving the domestic game a bit of the spotlight is fair enough, particularly with the closest Championship battle ever (even if there was a lack of actual cricket due to the weather) but a 5 match JAMODI series should be done in 10 days, not spread out over two and a half weeks. Also bizarre that we get the domestic one-day final in the middle of an international series, there was a time when the international calendar was finished well before the old NatWest final in early September. It just seems a confusing muddle of scheduling to finish the English season.
