I know how everyone is anticipating this one, so I thought I'd put up a thread early to allow for the guaranteed copious discussion.

Kamran Abbassi described this as "Dead tour walking"
Need something very special from Akhtar, Ajmal or Afridi to get PAK back on track

I was thinking the other day- What does Kamran Akmal contribute to Pakistani cricket other than annoying, high pitched shouting on the field?

He contributes to the team's dodgy slush fund by deliberately dropping catches?

He is a fairly useful T20 player and does alright in ODIs too.

Pakistan will definitely nab one or two of these one dayers- the wounded tiger will come out. If they get 250 in any game there's every chance they'll turn England over (except the last game obviously...)

New 1st wicket record for Pakistan against England in ODIs beating 113 by Sadiq Mohammed & Majid Khan at Trent Bridge in August 1974. Match was also notable for Bumble's only ODI century:
England v. Pakistan, Trent Bridge, 31 August 1974

Highest score in an ODI by Pakistan in England. England have only chased 295 or more successfully twice in their ODI history - 301 against Pakistan at Karachi in 2001 and 306 against the Windies at Bridgetown in the 2007 WC.

Jimbo's been economical of late.
The Anderson Cycle should have rotated round to useless just in time for the Ashes.
