Christchurch rocked by quake

"Residents of Christchurch have reported their houses shaking violently as a massive earthquake struck the South Island city.

New Zealand fashion designer Andhy Blake described being flung across his room as Saturday's 7.0 earthquake hit.

"I felt the whole room shaking and than my bed was flung from one end to the other," Mr Blake, creative director of the Style Christchurch fashion show, told AAP via email."
