Already test cricket is under threat from the popgun cricket. People championing popgun cricket would've found new ammunition to take potshots at test cricket that even after playing for close to 450 overs, not even half the wickets could be taken, let alone being close to producing the all important result.

We know we are playing the No. 1 team in the world, we are 1-0 up, and we know they didn't create any opportunities in the second Test. I was disappointed. I thought they might go for an early declaration and make a game out of it, which they didn't. I felt that they are not as aggressive as a No. 1 team should be.

Only an out and out idiot would've opted to bowl on that surface especially when they were still behind SL by about 100 runs. And Mahela looks even more of an idiot when he doesn't consider the kind of 'bowlers' Dhoni had for this test. The same bowlers who took a grand total of 4 SL wickets in 5.5 sessions.
