From cricinfo,
If WI tastes another defeat in this test, for the first time since '76, their overall win-loss ratio will diminish to less than one. Currently they have won and lost exactly 152 Tests apiece.
For SA, on the other hand, the graph has been moving in exactly the opposite direction since their return to Test cricket in 1992, and a win in the first Test in Trinidad will take their overall ratio to one, a mark it has intermittently touched over the last year and a half.
In test cricket only Aus, Eng and Pak have their win/loss ratios greater than 1.

I recall WIFAN discussing him not so long ago. Good prospect orrrr?
FFS Smerkles. 2 wickets hardly constitutes running through the top order.

In 2 decades from '76 to '96, WI's win/loss ratio was an awesome 3.13. They won 72 tests out of 151 they played during this period and lost only 23.
Would be interesting to see Aus's win/loss ratio during their golden run from '95 onwards. Or is it from '99? I believe its latter.

poor cricketers. i doubt too many in south africa would be watching this match. the cricketers themselves probably wish they were home for the biggest event on the planet
