I think 70% of the show's audience watches on the offchance that this might happen.

So the purdy colours on the pack make some sort of difference to the taste for you?

If you smoke skulls old bean you can pick up the difference between cigarette strengths. And you need the pretty colours to tell the strength, seeing the gvt in it's wisdom decided to remove the nicotine and tar strenghts from the packets.

The person who came up with that one was probably the same bloke who came up with differing rail guages.

Clearly I don't smoke, qmy (and I thought Mrs qmy was working hard to get you to stop?) but aren't they simply taking all the artwork off the pack. Won't the packet still say Winfield Blue or Red or Death-laden or whatever the strength indicator is - on a plain white box?

Would thought this was more reason to go on a ciggy-buying spree today.

"Cigarette tax to increase 25pc from midnight

The Federal Government will raise taxes on cigarettes by an extra 25 per cent, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has confirmed.

The hefty hike, which takes effect from midnight tonight, will put another $2.16 on a pack of 30 cigarettes."

snigger

I like it when the likes of ACA fishes out tac's mum who complains about how tough life is on the pension whilst dragging on her 34th 50c bunger for the day

My Mum's next door neighbour's daughter is a classic example. She's on a single mother's pension with 3 brats, struggles to pay the rent but is never without a gasper in her claws.
