What amuses me most is the racist undecurrent in not wanting to be called a subi . . . somehow the Bannie subis feel it putsthem in the same boat with the stupid Paks and Bangers . . . subi as an abbreviation might be deemed condescending, but subcontinental is no more racist than latin american, caribbean, sub-Saharan african, mediterranean or other term we use to describe regions instead of individual countries within the region . . .besides, the buggers are all tarred with the same brush, anyway . . .

And I've hardly used it at all since all the sookin' went on. Hence my Q about would Bannies end up under the same heading.

I guess I'm just getting bored with all the PC bulltwang on here. I prefer to say what I think, which is afterall the cornerstone of forumming.

If you're a qunt then I'll call you a qunt. If people think I'm being a qunt, then let them say so. Words on a page. [awaits string of one-word posts Cool ]

Being labelled a South Pacificer or Southern Hemispherian and getting lobbed in with Kiwis and Jaaps is the equivalent

It's bad enough we get lobbed in with Sozzies now

I find it a term of endearment when lobbed at me from an English comrade. Cool

Which is exactly as it should be!
Anyone trying to "score points" by using the term 'Cons' in a derrogative sense these days against Aussies is only kidding themselves ... and for offence to be taken (and shown) only fuels the dare ...
If I could have a quid for everytime I've bantered with Aussie mates in pubs when they've done the "soap and baths" routine, and I/other Pom mates have retorted with the "convict offspring" riposte, I'd be a bloody millionaire right now.

Pre 2005 Ashes, Sky had a brilliant sketch involving Warne and ??? being sentenced and put on a convict ship way back in the 1800's whilst Gower and Co looked on as the judiciary ... then through a pall of smoke, the clock was fast forwarded to 2005 .. as Warne walked forward in whites flicking up a cricket ball and a glint in his eye (seeking revenge presumably) .... great theatre ... and it worked well ! Malice aforethought ? Absolute bollocks!

The irony was that you buggers lost that particular Ashes series !! Laughing

Fair call, Merls. All this sookin' and attempting to change a forummer's style or habits is a farkin tedious waste of time.

"Oh please, can't we all get along?" Boo-farkin-hoo.

The post count in here is sh!tty enough without turning it into some Facebook style love-fest.

No, shirley not. Do people do that? It would seem a very angsty thing to do.

What sort of chaps would do such a thing?

Spoiler:
As it turns out, SFA, except for being called a weak qunt.
