What is happening with PCB is just a fair reflection of what is happening across Pakistan as a country. As a general rule the strength of a country's institutions follow the fortunes of the motherland.
It is is not a surpirse that the most proffesional cricket boards are from stable democratic countries.

During his 1st series as captain he scored a triple century, in the next test the Lankans were attacked and he handled the situation very well. Three months later he led Pakistan to a world cup win then had a bad tour of SL but the team did fairly in the CT

Despite his GREAT efforts he had to deal with
1- Baseless accusations of match fixing
2- Player revolt
3- This retarded ban.

I agree with you on YK. I mentioned that he was being binned unfairly when he didn't get co-operation from other captains in waiting. Just 1 correction. The last WC was won by Aus after they beat Lanka in the finals. T20 championship shouldn't be called a 'WC'.

they should NOT have banned Younis khan...they have made an "example" out of an honest and hard working cricketer who took the team from the horrors of 3/3 to the top of the world in mere 3 months.

i know he is a bit of a drama queen but still...

why does a standard comment like "T20 world cup" hurts you so much that you have to make this "correction" every single time?... Rolling Eyes

Because the last time Pak won any WC was in 1992 and the last time India held a WC was in 1983. It doesn't hurt me. It's a sick joke calling this bastardized quick soda pop - pizza tourney a "WC'.

And the same holds true for India winning the T20 'World Cup' before Pakistan as well. And I am not the only voice here that says so. It is NOT the real world cup and T20 is not any kind of real cricket and if you have doubts ask anyone on the forum.....

At this rate, next thing we know we will soon have 'World Cups' for T10, Then Mighty 5s and one day underarm box cricket as well.

yeah i am sure most people in India consider it a "bastardized quick soda pop - pizza tourney" which is why BCCI had an open bus parade in 2007 and was attended by thousands of people...

The stupid bus ride was quick marketing gimmick of sponsors and corporates arranged by BCCI. You can't fault youngsters and collegians thronging to see all their favourite cricket stars up and close. It was stupid over reaction frenzy started by BCCI to milk corporate money. Anyone can see that. That doesn't mean it should be considered a 'WC' victory either. I don't undertand why people are hell bent on cheaping the real WC by clubbing these stupid T20 tourneys and calling them WCs. It's even more funny these stupid 'WCs' come back to back within 10 months of the last event. It's really unfair to the real and current WC winners and champions Aus when someone calls India or Pak a WC champion based on this stupid tournament.

The fact is that the real WC is held every 4 years, and not every 2 years or every year for that matter as is the case at present.....

may be its overreaction to you but not to other MILLIONS of Indians who celebrated the win

to me the real problem is that the REAL world cup is equallly bad, the last one is WI was a horrible disaster and the upcoming one has the WORST POSSIBLE format and then throw in the dew factor and the whole thing will almost certainly be a disaster.

plus i also feel that due to the security threats in India the matches should be played in pakistan.
