Yes, but at least he gets paid for it. How much have you had for over 16000 posts of interminable drivel?
I'm racing towards 1500 on the back of a single anecdote, and I've not had a f*cking bean for my trouble.
I tell you, there's no justice in this world. None at all.

Yeah, but are there any commentators in the Sky line up who don't sage?

Well, I wouldn't like to say... let me just hint that I'm not here for fun and games.

The wages is where Athers and I cease similiaries. When he acquires a bugbear, no amount of misinformation, skewing of facts and placing conjecture forth as fact will suffice. Funnily enough, I like him as a commentator and a newspaper journalist in spite of the fact he can be trite to the point of brain-shake.

Me? Well, I'm extremely nice and sexy. As you be able to tell. I'm not presumptuous. I start bandwagons - I don't jump on them. Ian Ronald Bell is a distinct casepoint. I was there. Four years or more ago. Saying he was a little pencil-cock. Saying his face fits (onto selector's, captain's and coaches cocks). Where was Athers? "I loves his coverdriveses I's do...", "Impeccable timing, gosh!". The tosser needs people to direct him.

WOW! Dynamic.....

Er... are Broad and Onions fit?

I'd pick Plunkett, so expect Bresnan to line up.

Cook bowled five overs for 111 in the practice match against Bangladesh A. Doubt they'll call on him for part-time assistance anytime soon in the real stuff. Smile

Did Mickey Lewis teach him how to bowl?

Makes me angry as he and Carberry were obviously throwing up gimmies to the batsman, so they would declare and allow England to get a few batsman a knock.

Cook is a respectable part time slow bowler, much underused by Essex - he'd taken 4 FC wickets at 30. Why would you intentionally fark up your career figures like that? Evil or Very Mad

Because he's a selfless captain and wanted to give his batsmen something to chase? Why would he care, no-one's ever going to talk about his bowling.

What???????

DG, 2006: "Bell is a malteaser balled little weakling"
MA, 2009: "Bell needs to toughen up, if he wants to continue his Test career"

DG 1 - 0 MA

Only one of us qunts looks like a f*cking visionary.

Of course you'd back him. You were the forum Atherton on the subject....

Jeez, put your knickers back on man Laughing

I just don't get it when any player bowls declaration filth when they at least have some ability in that skill. It's like a player going out to bat with a stick of rhubarb just for the shits and giggles....
