Re: 3 year old Indian boy found murdered in Melbourne
I am hoping that there is no racist angle to this. If there is then yes it will really throw the aussie-India relationship to a new low, but might also galvanise the "ignore it will go away" silent white majority who like think and defend that there is no racism whatsoever in the Australian society.
I can't stop feeling sorry for the young parents though who we hear were about to fly back to India next week.

Truly appalling piece of forumming from Henry. Bucky has posted some dire stuff, but this takes the biscuit. If he had a shred of decency he'd ask Dello to can it.

That, in essence, is the focal point of this tragedy.
Everything else ought to pale to insignificance - hence the deletion.
FFS ... the mere reference to a deteriorating Aus - India relationship is laughable ....
F'k the political mileage - and if politicians look to this issue to score points, then a pox on them.

Indeed Merls. Josh seems to be bordering on the same fervour as Trev for it to be an Aussie who's perpetrated this heinous crime.

Deleted. I'm following my own advice and embee's lead, and trying to remove this racist shitfest from the forum.

And I think we have a definition of 'fact' here that's right up there with the forum definition of 'hearsay'.One can only imagine the shit storm if the killer turns out to be a white Aussie.
So a fact is something you imagine?
The FACT is that an Indian boy was murdered. Everything else is you people just pulling shit out of your arses.

The police regard the death as suspicious . . . not a murder as yet

Agreed, as any parent of young ones will relate to everything else pales into insignificance. That said as we speak so many kids are being abused around the globe. We don't even think about it, kind of out of sight out of mind. But some stories do hit hard, remember one from UK a decade ago where a couple of young teenagers brutally killed a kid (Jamie ?), that also stayed with me for a long time.Merlin wrote:Josh Carney wrote:I am hoping that there is no racist angle to this. Re: 3 year old Indian boy found murdered in Melbourne
i doubt this incident has any bearing on ind-aus relations. racism might be attributed to a community (whether its justified or not), but nobody would think child-killing is a widespread quality amongst a group of people. it would only impact ind-aus relations if it seemed like the authorities CGAF about catching the culprits. that certainly doesnt seem to be the case

A three year old boy has met with foul play, that's the only significance. His nationality is irrelevant; his death itself is the tragedy.

That is the point, but one or two on this thread don't seem to get it.
Not surprisingly it got a mention in Indian Parliament.
