I think that doesn't apply in Hockey. More a case of home support and some excellent play. Anyways 4-1 up now.

I'm shocked at the athleticism and speed of the game these days, even though neither India nor Pakistan are, AFAIK, currently dominating world hockey.

Spain beat SAf 4-2 and Endland upset Aus 3-2

I am sure Pak will beat India in the 11th/12th place playoff game.

Great results and beginning for India. To me the surprise was the England result. Quite an upset of the applecart there.....

Not that I'm a great Hockey fan, but England 3 Australia 2 is always worth a mention.

Especially when you don't even realise a World Cup is going on until it happens.

India would face Aus today. Key match for us. If we win it we might be one of the favorites to make it to the next stage.
