Alastair Campbell. Lots of forced laughs and smiles through clenched teeth. Clarkson's 180 degree political views certainly got an airing and he didn't miss the Brown's spindoc.

Probably a ballsy effort to appear given he would've known what he was in for.

And I'm with Clarkson on the Boxster Spyder. What a stoopid car. And yes of course I would take it if someone handed me the keys to one, but "bugs in teeth" cars are just ridiculous.

Still, any car that can get James doing power slides has a claim to fame that few others can make.

Aye, not often that Captain Slow gets a woody over a power beast.

I was actually feeling quite uncomfortable with his groaning during that car test.

Hehehe, is that all ya got, A??

Amusing new epi tonight. It's become a bit a milfathon in the crowd that stands behind Clarkson as he rabbits on. Got a text from Woody half way through the show "Nice totty behind Clarkson." Cool

And how much does Clarkson hate American cars?? Not that I can blame him. Whenever I see a boxy Chrysler 300C or Jeep drive past it's hard not to give the driver the "L" on the forehead sign. Farquin ugly wallowbuckets of motorcars.

Everyone hates American cars (with the odd honourable exception).

Even the Seppos stopped buying them because they tried to be like Jap cars and the buyers realised that they might as well just be Jap cars.

But for the vintage gas guzzlers visit Cuba (Havana specifically) - a veritable paradise for the old American car aficionado .... Buicks, Olds, Fords, Cougars ... they're all there - and all in decent nick.

Clarkson can be (and is) bloody myopic at times.

What I like about Clarkson is that he doesn't GAF that he's totally politically incorrect.

He was blithering on tonight (yeah, yeah, I know it was on last month in the UK) about no-one watching the show because the World Cup Football was on the other channels, then he turned to some scrubber and basically said "get your gear off" (she blushed and tittered). Then when Barrichello was on, he made the inevitable "does anyone have a Brazilian?" jibe.

I was enlightened

In an old Top Gear I saw the other night, Clarkson was driving a small car that was powered by a field mouse called gerald!!

Farker stole him from Lardy

Was it a pre 2006 epi? A Mouse called Gerald started appearing at C4 around then, no?

Maybe lardy is a closet petrol-head?
