Haddin and Watson rested from ODIs 3 and 4

Post by Zat on Tue 09 Feb 2010, 10:53

Hilditch:
After a busy international summer, and with an upcoming tour of New Zealand in mind, the NSP has taken the opportunity to manage the workloads of Brad Haddin and Shane Watson for the next two matches of the Commonwealth Bank Series.

Tim Paine and Adam Voges are the players added to the squad. Paine thoroughly deserves another chance behind the stumps for Australia in ODI cricket after playing so well in England, the ICC Champions Trophy and India late last year.

Voges was unlucky to miss selection for the opening two matches of the Commonwealth Bank Series against the West Indies but now has a chance to press for selection.

``Voges wont play a game ...or will be batting so low he may as well not be playing

he'd be better off playing for the Wozzies

Why not throw Klinger or Bailey a game and see what they can do?

Are Voges and Paine withdrawn from the Shield games?

I'm just wondering when the "hook" arrives and he has to leave ...

when Williams got called up to go to Adelaide ...he bowled up until tea and then caught a flight ...and then Eddo came and bowled after tea ...

Was just wondeing who they might be allowed to replace him with ...

Stoinis and Towers as a batsman

Bandy or Doropolous as all rounders

Heal (who is 12th man) or Mangan as a spinner

Wouldn't want him on the Red eye tomorrow night, but this is CA we're talking about...

Wozzies 4 down now anyway (for 11) so the game will probably be all over tonight

Voges is out now ...he can catch his plane anytime ...and being 7/26 with only the bowlers left to bat I dont think we'll need to replace his bowling

Brady Jones appears to be keeping for the Tozzies today ...he has a catch and his name is in the team list at the bottom and Paine's has been put behind the 12th man's

Aaron Heal is on the scoreboard at the WACA and Voges is off so that must be the replacement
