India's unbeaten for 14 tests run was good while it lasted. Now this test has given us an indication of how dark the future is if we can't have batsmen who can play pace or swing. Feck, but half the 'young talent' even struggles against spin.

Previous records of India for being unbeaten for most tests:

So Azharuddin was more successful than Dhoni in winning more tests in the same situation. Of course they were all home wins apart from one in Lanka.

Yeah, but it was always going to be the case. Take a couple of batsmen out and you're back to normal. I'd fancy the shitheap-that-is-England's chances at home sans Dravid and Latchman.

Considering the joke that our bowling is, you many fancy your chances (both home/away) even when Indian team consists of these 2 gentlemen.

Nah, you'd bat us out of the game by mercilessly tanking Jimmy and Broad - with the adept play against spin, Swann wouldn't even be able to gain us control. Then our ADHD batsmen would piss it all away.

Swann is the best spinner in world cricket. Don't say anything bad about him.

I just love the way he bowls, he bats, the way he conducts himself on the field. Easily my favorite Eng cricketer.

Further on Swann, if we couldn't even get Harris away at home then we don't stand a chance against Swann (world's best spinner).

Wonder why Eng took so long to pick him in Eng team. Monty is sh!t when compared to him.

He did what no Indian spinner ever did in SA. Tie SA batsmen in knots. Even Kumble was helpless on SA pitches save 1 or 2 spells.

PS: Swann is immense.
