No we won't be going anywhere with this yet, Just wondering why is it suddenly BCCI's job to keep Pak players 'rewarded' and give the monetary incentives. Perhaps they should start with an appraisal of the Aus tour that Pak just ended.....

Re: Pakistan cricket hits rock bottom...
IPL snub takes away the opportunity from some Pakistan cricketers to lay their hands on some easy money. That is all there is to it.
Nobody wants to tour Pakistan, their administration sucks and all the divisions that plague the nation affect the cricketers as well. That is their main problem.
And the pathetic fielding which they share with their bigger neighbours.

While IPL may be an opportunity for making easy money from T20 cricket, but it can't be treated as a guaranteed employment exchange for everybody. It's after all a private corporate venture. Rewarding players for financial incentives is it's cricket board's responsibility. BCCI partners can only reward players who are employed this year in IPL. Thats another issue. But then again what has BCCI got to do with internal PCB or Pak team or any other issues in Pak that it is being dragged into the muck? Fact is it's got everything to do with core problems in Pakistan. To say that BCCI owes Pakistan, to reward them for playing T20s well is a ridiculous and absurd fantasy. Nothing like having a good whinge while one is at it I suppose.

Oh it CAN!
Pakistan looking for a foreign coach - Greg Chappell in Running! - link.
Nearly 14 months after firing Australian coach Geoff Lawson, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is again looking for a foreign coach.
PCB chairman Ejaz Butt on Monday confirmed on a television show that he is in talks with some foreign coaches.
The recent Test and ODI series whitewash against Australia seemed to have played a part in the PCB's thinking for a foreign hand. Former India coach Greg Chappell and former Pakistan coach Richard Pybus are among the names doing the rounds in Pakistan.
"We are looking at the possibility of hiring a foreign coach and we are in talks with some people," Butt said.
"I don't think it is right that every time we lost a series, the captain, coach or board management should be changed. But we also want to see good results from the team and that is why we are looking at the possibility of having a foreign coach once again," he added.
With Intikhab Alam, coach of the disastrous Australia tour, under scrutiny of an inquiry committee, the PCB on Monday named former Test batsman Ijaz Ahmed as batting and fielding coach for the two Twenty20 matches against England in Dubai on February 19 and 20.
Wasim Bari, the chief operating officer of the board, said the appointment of Ijaz as coach and Yawar Saeed as manager is an interim arrangement.
"We will decide on the future of Intikhab after the inquiry committee formed to look into the team's poor performances in Australia completes its findings," Bari said.
Sources said besides former Australian captain Chappell and South African Pybus, who has had two terms with Pakistan team, another Australian Julian Fountain is in consideration by the PCB.
"The board might also just hire a batting or fielding consultant with the team," one source said.
Pakistan has in the past had foreign coaches with Pybus doing two terms with the team and Bob Woolmer at the helm from 2004 to 2007 before he died in controversial circumstances during the World Cup in the West Indies.

Good Luck Pakistan! It would be a blast if Chappell was brought on board.

Vikas is as usual ignoring the facts and screaming just for the sake of screaming.
Fact is that ALL international cricketers are elgible for IPL with the EXCEPTION of the Pakistanis. All other domestic sides are elgible for champs league with the EXCEPTION of the Pakistani teams.

Ignoring facts? Shouting for the sake of shouting? Care to explain how BCCI is among the root cause of the internal problems that face Pak cricket?
1] 'terrorist attacks taking home series away from Pak vis a vis other sides'?
2] 'controversies - Afridi, Akhtar, Asif...etc etc'
4] 'internal sifarish system/corruption where selection is not done on merit'.
5] 'Awful cricket team with no superstars...'
BCCI has nothing to do with these internal issues that you have clubbed it in there.
The issue of IPL now which shouldn't have been in there-
3- Regional discrimination by the most powerful board where even when you do well you aren't awarded killing the monatary incentive isn't there.
Like I said, BCCI isn't a guaranteed employment exchange that it owes every player playing some monetary incentive. It's a private business and has no bearing on whatever ills plague Pak cricket. BCCI is not obliged to hire anyone against it's will or to provide monetary benefits anywhere if it does not make business sense under difficult political scenarios. You want your players to get monetary incentives, ask your own cricket board, and stop passing the bill on our doorstep. Your tendency to drag BCCI into your own problems is symptomatic of your one eyed thinking and nothing more. Coming to other teams, how many other teams diplomatic relations with India is at stake after the Mumbai attacks? Pak players not playing IPL is another issue. It has nothing to do with the mess Pak cricket is in vis a vis your team, your cricket board and players. So why is BCCI listed as one among your root cause of problems that plague in Pak cricket? Your hilarious suggestion about BCCI owing Pak players 'monetary incentives' is so much BS. Since when did PCB outsource it's fundamental duties to BCCI? Don't mix your issues up and post irrelevant accusations over it!
