As bad as things are for Pakistan - they could get a whole lot worse.
Suppose you're a talented teenage Pakistani cricketer - with a decent chance of going a long way in the game. Wouldn't you be just a little bit tempted to up sticks and qualify for another test-playing country?

I wouldn't. I'd carry on until the bitter sweet end. Although each to their own and all that.

They should consider that.

Horrible tour for PAK...
the worst thing is that there is no tests or ODI cricket for another 6 months.

That wouldn't be in the bests interests of the game as a whole though would it? Perhaps, the BCCB should set up an official home from home for (say) the next five years to give itself some stability.

It's a horrible tour on paper.
But I think that amongst this shambles of a tour, Pakistan can be safe in the knowledge that Aamer will continue to trouble batsmen the world over.
Just aslong as they keep that groin of his in good shape.

Youngsters like Manzoor, Aamer and Akmal did fairly well but as a team they failed badly.
Only real positive is that things can't get worse.

I hear you...
If you are a parent of a young kid in PAK why would you want to turn him in to a cricketer when...
1- There is ZERO cricket at home due to a DIRECT terrorist attack on cricket.
2- Controversies- Afridi, Akhtar, Asif...etc etc
3- Regional discrimination by the most powerful board where even when you do well you aren't awarded killing the monatary incentive isn't there.
4- Internal sifarish system/corruption where selection is not done on merit.
5- Awful cricket team with no superstars...
These days the only thing keeping Pak cricket alive is the occassional spell of brilliance like the T20 world cup.

It's very sad PP, hence my suggestion that Pakistan cricket sets up a temporary base away from Pakistan to keep the flag flying as I'm sure that the extremists would love it if the game withered.

This keeps getting better and better. Brilliant! Dragging BCCI's private corporate venture into a list of Pakistan's root cause of problems. So now it is BCCI's job to 'reward' Pak players with 'Incentives' for performing well? Most peculiar.....

No we won't be going anywhere with this yet, Just wondering why is it suddenly BCCI's job to keep Pak players 'rewarded' and give the monetary incentives. Perhaps they should start with an appraisal of the Aus tour that Pak just ended.....
