Re: Super 14 Rugby 2010
The Brumbies were beyond shithouse last night. Their first half last week was bad, but the 'effort' against the 'Canes was far worse.

Aye. That's the end of their season I think.
Even not taking the easy penalty shot at goal with a minute to go which would have got them a bonus point showed how off their game they were.

The Reds must now be serious finals contenders. Who'd have thunk it a couple of seasons ago.

Mate, whoda thunk it a couple of months ago?
It's an extremely young team that has benefitted enormously from the cred & wisdom of that Scotch boy, Ewan McKenzie.

Think of the two close losses on top of all this wierdeness.

Indeed. As it stands, the choke against the Tahs might cost them a home semi.

At the end of the Tah's game I had to be alone for quite a while and my wife took the keys to the gun locker. To think they could be 9/8 at the moment.

Re: Super 14 Rugby 2010
The SMH Aus S14 team of the week this morning (where they pick the best performing Aus players, position-by-position from the weekend's S!14 round) was the Reds 1-15 lineup. No 2010 giteaus, and no 2009 Giteaus. And of course the Tahs had the bye.

Re: Super 14 Rugby 2010
As you pointed out there was no Tah's game this weekend. And if there was and they went down in a scraming heap the SMH would still have found a way to pick at least half a dozen cockroaches.

Re: Super 14 Rugby 2010
The side they pick is usually a pretty good guide to who's performing. But there is a definite anti-Brumbies, pro-Waratahs bias in it. This week it was funny.

Re: Super 14 Rugby 2010
Sorry I still remeber the seventies when we started to kick NSW arse and our players got no recognition. One interstate game was billed as Paul Maclean v {seven southern ruby columnists} who all thought he should be shipped to the centres instead of playing 5/8th. May as well have batted Greg Chappell at No. 11 on that thinking.
