Maybe if Don Thomas sang 'Come OnTrain' we'd be alright.
Back in the real world, we're inept.
Could we try "All the nice girls / Love a sailor"?

Not really, Pavel. I'm tone deaf. As I say, I was relying solely on Don Thomas.

Re: South Africa v England, 4th Test, Jo’burg, Jan 14-18
Hello ..hello..hello ...
Quoting Naz in his rag column today : "The two big decisions of the first morning surprised me, even though I could understand why England made them. Firstly, I would have bowled first had I won the toss. Everything pointed to it being a bowling day. What changed their mind was the sun shining on Wednesday afternoon and yesterday morning. Yet you just had to look at the fact that S Africa had demanded a lot of grass should be rolled into the pitch and had gone into this test with an all seam attack to realise what conditions were awaiting us.
I was also surprised by the decision to leave out Onions and play Sidebottom."
The knives are out ... but what the hell, it's all history now!

Hmmm, now is it me, or do I not remember him saying anything of the sort yesterday morning?
Anyway, we're doomed. DOOMED I tell ya.

I suppose he hates to see weak-boy prissy decisions from a party-line toer like Strauss. I suppose he'd love the England team he supports to have a captain with some gumption? Shows, to me, why he was pretty underrated as a captain - he had some guts to back his decisions.

Do you think Nass was under-rated? He's right up there as one of England's all time great captains, surely?

Not by the fans. Not met one who didn't hold in high regard. The media - barely ever gets a mention.

Monkeh bends with the wind Shoey ... he's a 'whatever suits the moment' kinda guy.
On one day Strausser is highly regarded, on another - weak and prissy!
Monkeh'd have David Sales captaining, opening the bowling and bating 3 ...
Entertaining though .... has to be said!
Naz - top man.

We need to look back to his comments after Nasser's famous decision to elect to field....
