So, is Australia the best team in the world again?
Series victories against the Windies and Pakistan. Surely they're back to the top of the tree now?
Ricky Ponting has done enough to suggest that he's the finest captain going around at the moment, and Nathan Hauritz is proving to be without peer as a spin bowler. Haddin's catch to dismiss Salman Butt must surely put to bed the doubt over whether he is the finest gloveman in world cricket.
They're the best team in the world by a distance. Datylight second, and India third. Aus would have comfortably beaten India in late 2008 if it wasn't for those f*cking over rate requirements, would have smashed South Africa if the bowlers had just bowled a good line and length in crucial moments, and they would have retained the ashes too if that f*cking Monty Panesar hadn't cheated by showing a sound defence with the bat at the end of the first test.
Yes, Australia is without doubt way ahead of the pack again.
