Thought that was a ridiculous thing they were on about. He trapped the ball, big deal.

Strange, I seem to remember Cronje geting nailed for the same thing.

Of course poms don't cheat. I heard that from Atherton.

I think the Saffie batsmen were ball-tampering, well it was bound to get scuffed up by them hitting it that hard and often.

Over at PakPassion they are going nuts, saying how Broad must be banned else it's racist against Pakistanis.

Not saying for certain that he wasn't cheating, but if he was then it was a pretty shit attempt, trapping the ball like that would have done nothing, should have stamped on it harder if cheating was his aim.

So either, he didn't cheat or he did but he's really shit at it.

Of course no Pakistani bowler ever, ever ball-tampered. Perish the thought.

I'll bow to your greater knowledge on that one. Was it as hopelessly inept as Broad's? Seems to me he just did what most of us have done at some point without thinking about it. I doubt he would be so stupid as to try to cheat in full public view though, and if he was trying to, it didn't bloody work did it? Presumably the umpires had a good look at the ball.

Cronje ... bless him, the cheating little bas*ard!

If Broad's thinking of emulating him, he'd better get to know a few Bombay Bookies first. Crass and stupid perhaps, what with 20 TV cameras on the action/non action at any given time, he'd be brain dead if he thought he'd get away with it.

Put it down to ignorance on his part.

Match referee should just search Broad's hotel room for any new leather jackets if they think he's guilty.
