It was obvious that Watson was phased by the last series and he's still cursed by the near century misses.

Mick, even you'd have to admit, by comedic standards, the runout was piss funny.

You're kidding right? HTF can you laugh at an Australian wicket being lost via idiocy. If it was good enough for katich to grab the kiddie by the throat when he wouldn't stay with the boys and get on the piss then it would be good enough for watson to smash his head against the dressing room wall. That would be funny.

If it had been Cook and Strauss, or Pietersen and Bell, or Smith and Kallis, or any other batsmen in the world, it still would have been a funny runout. The perpetrators make no difference, it was piss funny.
It would have also been piss funny if Watson had beaten seven shades out of Katich, no argument from me.

Feck me I've had a gutful of chuckers. They just had a slo mo of the Pakistani offie that I slowed down further. There's a flick of the elbow in the last 18 inches of the arm rotation before delivery and it was an offbreak

You get a bottle of pills from a Victorian for Christmas and decide to take them for an experiment?

Mate, during the diabolical 80's laughing at our mob was better than the alternative. I never want to laugh at our blokes again.

I remember the 80s. I also remember the ginormous stuff up of the last 2 Ashes series in England. I didn't laugh much during those.

I can't believe they can't pick him. When it's the offie you can only discern he's chucking. When it's the doosra he's definately chucking.

It was a classic. You couldn't orchestrate something so awful.
Commentary line of today so far, for mine:
Slats: I really enjoyed doing the re-enactment of the runout.
Bill: (in matter-of-fact tone) Not enough sooking from 'Watson'.
Almost fell off ma chair laughing.

Re: Who cried when Old Yeller got shot?
sitting in the crowd has great fun when the video review was on...many wanted both to be given out...there is almost universal loathing for both the Chokarian and the cry baby...
in the detested stakes it is clear that fleas is even more reviled ...there was significant booing when cry baby got his marching orders - many preferring fleas to go...esp when sections of the crowd heard over the radio later that fleas has overtaken koala snr (in % terms) as the player least likely to be out in a run out.
when fleas got out (happily 2 less than his ton) there was much celebration...fleas did not acknowledge the few claps he received (from the members) as he walked off.
yesterday was even better...Misdirected Aimer hitting fleas on the arm and then him getting out soon after to a limp shot...M Aimer received great plaudits from the crowd.
