Brad Hodge's media career prospects.....

Post by Fred Nerk on Sun 20 Dec 2009, 23:05

are nonexistent based on his wooden performance on Inside BJ tonoght.

Someone should tell him that he is allowed to open his mouth, and that law that you have to start every sentence with 'look' was repealed a little while ago.

Give him a break. He's a sportsman not a classics scholar. Though you'd have to wonder about a society that puts more worth on a mimic than a classics scholar.

which reminds me . . . I reading Virgil this morning and found a funny bit in Book II of the Georgics . . .

. . . tum pater omnipotens fecundis imbribus Aether coniugis in gremium laetae descendit et omnis magnus alit magno commixtus cirpore fetus.

Farkin laugh . . . I nearly shat!

You'd know, being able to read Ionic Greek. Personally I've always been shit at languages. Don't have the ear for them, or the time to understand them. You can always hire that expertise.

I didn't even try to learn. I needed level four translations (medical) so it was pointless paying good money for someone to teach me conversational stuff when a court needed high level shit.

Plus I normally had native speakers as off siders.

Hodge has always been lazy and uninspiring when interviewed on radio. He also has to deal with the burgeoning forest on his shoulders.
