Biggest bogans in test cricket?

Post by horace on Sun Dec 20, 2009 1:36 pm

Some countries inc my own have multiple contenders.

Australia - WATSON - who screams like a stuck pig in upper case tones, Bollinger - who is as thick as two short planks, wears road kill on his noggin and lacks the charm and moustache of merv hughes, Haddin - who bats like healy, keeps like gilly and has the personality of matt prior.

Banindia - H Singh - the almost complete boganista who is universally loathed as a poor sport, Y Singh - another boganista who (with his dad) vastly overrates his own ability and performance.

Pomgolia - Swann - the 'maxi chin' carries on as if he is god's gift to straight breakers,; Broad - the Lady Di of boganettes carries on with bravado and rarely delivers....the aforementioned Prior who would be higher on my list but for Haddin

Other countries seem lacking - windies, saffies (kallis - is just dumb and Harris is just dumber), lankans, paksters (now tubby ahktar is gawnski) and oh I nearly forgot the snoozies (only Bracewell in recent memory approaches star bogan status)...

Personally I think WATSON is the t/curd floating on top of the putrid barrell of bogan bitter..

You've got Bollinger spot on.

Bit harsh I think. Only saw him this series but seems to be a really good bowler. A little exhuberant but doesn't come out as such a qunt as Watson.

You don't have to be mindfully intelligent to be a good fast bowler.

What does bogan mean? If it means "thick" then not sure what Swanny is doing on the list, he seems like a pretty intelligent chap, certainly witty.

Red, had quite a few harsh words to say about Doug Boganlinger back then.

have heard both bollybogan and watbogan on the radio in the last 24 hours...both should be advised to avoid microphones in future...watbogan was particularly cretinous when asked about the send off...blamed gayle

as for bollybogan, if he was not a spiv cricketer I expect he could nearly meet the criteria for a disability pension
