Joe McElderry or Rage Against the Machine
Rage Against the Machine VS Joe McElderry
So as non UK visitors to this site may not be aware, the battle for the UK Christmas number one this year has been fought between Simon Cowell Endorsed Puppy twat Joe McElderry and old school rap/metal crossover legends rage against the machine.
So as the UK inevitably goes for bland generically produced crap, what do the FB residents think should be Christmas Number 1?

In the name of fairness, I'm gonna post two live performances, firstly Joe:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEca0ZnzOKw
Secondly Rage:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiiQPqmYE1A
I should just add that Joe had NOTHING to do with the writing of his "song", and his "hard work" consisted of singing for a few hours a week.

Love RATM. Loved it first time around all those years ago. So glad they're challenging that wishywashy qunt. So, to answer Mak, yeah they do buy music - when they're trying to keep shitheaps off of a guarantee.

Insiders reckon that Rage have done it, awesome effort if true. Joe's song is f*cking diabolical.

Wish they could have Simon Cowell live on camera when that was revealed, if it happens...

Re: Rage Against the Machine VS Joe McElderry
I was reading reading The Sun (yeah, i know) the other day and saw the Joe guy responding to the whole thing, saying:
This is why i want RATM to be number 1. What an idiot.
They can't be serious! I had no idea what it sounded like. It's dreadful and I hate it. How could anyone enjoy this? Can you imagine the grandmas hearing this over Christmas lunch?
...
I wouldn't buy it. It's a nought out of ten from me. Simon Cowell wouldn't like it. They wouldn't get through to boot camp on The X Factor - they're just shouting.
This is why i want RATM to be number 1. What an idiot.

'F*ck you I don't believe what you tell me !'
Got to believe the 9 year old girlies buying the physical copy of the xfactor pap will give him 1st place though.
What is really ****** up is cowell having a cow about one of his boys 'chances' getting ruined. Since X-factor has been doing that for the last 4 years, ruining the chance of a proper band getting top spot it's highly hypocritical
I bought Killing in the name of as I had a £1 free amazon credit left over and thought why the hell not.

I used to love them years ago, saw them last year at Leeds festival which was awesome but this campaign has once again renewed my interest in them.
They've said they will play a free gig in the UK if it does get to number 1, would be awesome if they do.

Rage win.
A hollow victory, but they all count.
Shame people aren't as passionate about keeping shitty, cynical, reality TV dreck out of the charts for the other 364 days of the year...
