So Tuck gets 12 matches for his third strike on drugs.

I'm pretty sure that this is the kind of scenario that plenty of people said would arise under the AFL's policy when it was being implemented. A player who could well have been helped by his club - had the club known about the problem - progressing to a third strike before the club is told by the AFL. What a shemozzle.

It's amazing that everyone caught doing drugs has depression*.

When will someone say "It's a shed load of fun and I'm a bit of dill"

* yes I know it is serious and debilitating condition - it just seems a bit convenient

He has to get drug counselling as part of his first two strikes ...he is free to tell the club if he wishes but most people might think the club would take a selectorial punishment on a player which is counterproductive to his counselling ...and then again if they dont take action and just continue to play him as normal then it sort of condones the drug use

Damned if they do ...Damned if they don't

They won't be damned if they don't take the drugs in the first place.

Why doesn't he get an automatic 2 year suspension under the WADA code?

No arms Rich won the Evans Medal last year and most of the others were good enough to have played at least 10 games last year

Can anyone tell me who put the injunction in place in regards to that Ch 7 story about drug use by a club...

Was it the club ...the AFL .. or the AFLPA?
