reading doctor's interview it seems that Wasim Akram made incorrect allegations.

Its difficult to understand, even though American influence is widely prevalent whenever comfortable, why Pakistanis need to take up judicial methods in an effort to intimidate a grieving husband into rescinding claims that are likely to lead to an inquiry.

The inquiry states and without room for doubt “the doctors were unable to diagnose Huma’s problem resulting in deterioration of her condition.”This isn’t the first time that patients have been carted out of Pakistan for advanced treatment. So why wasn’t it done this time?
According to Apollo reports the plane carrying Huma Akram had an emergency landing in Chennai, where doctors diagnosed her condition as at a very advanced stage. They further state that had the detection and treatment occurred earlier, they might have been able to save her life. Those were the reports that made the rounds in India.

If Wasim’s claims that Huma was denied treatment without monetary advances holds any water, the doctor, Dr Kamran Chima, has not only violated his Hippocrate’s Oath but is guilty of gross incompetence for which his licence to practice should be revoked. He should count himself lucky that he still has a driver’s licence allowing him to pursue some form of gainful employment, Sharia Law notwithstanding.

^^ The doc seems to be claiming that the disease is extremely difficult to identify. What interests me most are these statements made by him:

There is no reported case in the entire medical literature of the world in which this may occur without the person falling in certain risk groups…. Huma denied falling in those groups.

And this:

Furthermore, some facts appear to have been concealed by the patient and her family and if that should be so, had they been revealed, it could have provided a clue and given direction and help to the doctors’ investigation.

And this:

if any body wants to investigate this matter seriously, then a precondition would be a complete autopsy and toxic tests of the patient’s body – which is necessary for instance to answer the question whether she and Mr. Akram disclosed all the relevant facts to the doctors.

This could get ugly pretty quickly.
