Ronnie you idiot! Our top order has been so loose on this tour. Pretty shots and lovely 20's and 30's are not going to do it guys! Get your act together!

Is this Midge's personal tribute to Brett Lee?

18.6Johnson to Nash, no run, fuller length delivery outside the off stump, Nash looks to drive, misses

18.5Johnson to Nash, FOUR!!, down the leg side on that occasion, Nash closes the face of the bat and glances it to fine leg, beautiful shot that!

18.5Johnson to Nash, 5 wides, bouncer goes too far high on that occasion

18.4Johnson to Nash, no run, turns it to short mid wicket, straight to the fielder

18.3Johnson to Nash, FOUR!!, short and wide outside the off stump on that occasion, Nash cuts it to deep backward point, he is off the mark in style!

18.2Johnson to Nash, no run, good length delivery outside the off stump, Nash shoulders armsBrendan Nash, left handed bat, comes to the crease
Johnson to Sarwan, out Caught by Clarke at cover point!! Fullish delivery outside the off stump, Sarwan reaches out for it and drives, fails to keep it down and ends up giving a simple catch to Clarke. Sarwan c Clarke b Johnson 28(46) [4s-4]

18.1Johnson to Sarwan, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Gotta question modern speed guns. There is no way in hell Siddle was at 140kph in that over, more like 125kph.

No wonder some of the old fast bowlers reckon they would have had an average speed of 160kph on modern speed guns Very Happy

It's been a very entertaining morning but the standard of cricket has been a bit inconsistent.

All the batsmen played some glorious shots but played some shockers too. Siddle bowled pretty well but ended up with 0/48, whereas Bollinger and Johnson bowled pies IMHO yet took wickets.

The pitch has had a little bit more bounce then I expected even if it is a bit spongy, and it made for good entertainment.

Dowlin's a tad bit unlucky WIFAN? I suppose Sarwan coming in, he had to make way. Although it must have been a close run thing choosing between Dowlin and Nash.

Gayle has a big say in selection and he has been instrumental in Nash making the team in the first place. He seemed to suggest that it wasn't even close when it came to choosing between Nash and Dowlin.

I think it's anti-scabism. It's only natural but I agree it seems very unfair. I really don't rate Dowlin at all but he did nothing wrong at Brisbane.

Oh Lord Nashie had his arm smashed up by Johnson so Bravo is in already. We may be playing crap but lady luck is certainly not on our side either.

I think they made the right choice personally. Nash has more experience in Australia. Had one bad test. Bit unfair to drop him. I think Gayle thinks that Nash is more likely to score going forward than Dowlin and I tend to agree with him.

Oh Lord this could be trouble. Actually replay shows it's probably not out.

LOL at Ricky being so aggravated. It's not out. Move on.

I've seen inexplicable woody sounds happening when the ball passes the bat even when there is clear daylight between bat and ball.

Lara once got done in a ODI against Australia when his bat handle made a noise eve though the ball was miles away from him.

It looked out from the front, not out from behind, hot spot suggested not out and snicko suggested out.

Aussies can't really complain.

At last some proper test match batting from the West Indies has put them in an excellent position. Win the toss, bat first and make 400+ was the only way we could put the Aussies under pressure in this test IMHO. So far so good but a lot of work to do.

I'm off to bed. Here's to a century from Shiv when I wake up in 3 hours Very Happy
