Will talking down tests become a self-fulfilling prophecy?
Not sure about what's happening in the media, and around the traps in other countries but there's constant doom and gloom talk about test cricket which almost invites negative comments. Anecdotally and according to published polls, the masses are still quite enamoured of the purists' form of the game yet it almost seems as if the press is hell-bent on portraying it as an anachronism.
Will this negativity become contagious? Or is there some hidden agenda somewhere?

Business is booming in the UK. I bet we'll see the Pak-Aus tests here well attended next year too.

The BCCI are guilty of this. They put in high ticket prices and have the matches start on a Tuesday and then say "see, no one likes Tests".

It's stupid, though, to suggest that placing Tests on days that are classed as a normal working weekday are going to hinder it. In essence, however small the population, there should be enough people keen enough to fill a stadium.

Not only that, but one of our lot on here informed us that you have to by tickets for the full 5 days!.....for a match that covers the working week..........and THEN they say "no-one likes tests...."
