Well your lad beats me easily in the "rubbing shoulders with a famous cricketing relative" stakes.

The closest I have come is I have a mate who played Grade cricket with Alan Border and my little brother played country A-Grade cricket with Alan Border's little brother (AB's parents and younger brother moved to my home town in the 90s)!!

Well my oldest did get Dean Elgar out in a school game and the cheating stinking uomire didn't give it.

My son is still pissed off about it.

Or to put it another way, your oldest DIDN'T get Dean Elgar out in a school game.
While we're about it, can I just mention that my son didn't get Ricky Ponting out in a test match. Impressed?

Very impressed EH .... not getting Ponting huh ... aye, very impressive.

Whilst we're on this tack, alas my son didn't get a certain West Indian captain out in a game last season, though he did come close with an lbw appeal ...

... but I did !!!!!

My son's only 5 mind, so Ponting's a good start I've high hopes that when he's older they'll be a whole host of international greats he's not got out.

The trick with Ponting is to run him out.... works every time.
He's a sucker for cocking up a 22 yard dash - thinks he's Usain Bolt whereas is actually more like Inzi after a feast ....

A touch of coaching from the infamous Pratt for your lad might just realize your high hopes!
