No, was thinking of it, but decided not to be sooky, unlike some here today.

Some other stats:

NZ have never beaten Aust in a WC
England have never beaten NZ
Yet England have inflicted 3 of the 4 sudden death losses that Aust have ever had in WCs (by no more than 3 points each time FFS).


Aust v Saf and NZ v Saf are 1-1 and after last night Saf lead England 2-1.

And England are the only side to make the final after losing a pool match which they have now done twice.

On paper we should have won the CWC, as we were ranked first at the time. Unfortunately the games are played on grass, not paper.

Our win over SA in the group stage took us back to first so thats incorrect.

At the time of the semi SA were ranked 2nd.

We all know the final score is what counts in the end. Much of the time, a little luck - or sometimes a lot - comes into it, but frankly we never looked like losing any of our games.
