Apart from being conned the Indian students were racially abused by authorities in that pilot training college. This is according to the admission of one of the local Australians who is associated with that school. This good samaritan also helped the Indians file compliants with various authorities, but apparently nothing came out of those. The Students also filed a complaint with the NSW supreme court and the case was dismissed based on affidavits filed by the owner of that school. In that affidavit the owner had complained that one of the Indian students had breached the flying zone restrictions and strayed out. Since then it has been revealed that this was falise since the date of this supposed breach was before the student in question took his first flight. Also it has been established that this school in question is in trouble for employing untrained teachers.
There is a lot to be answered with this particular case specifically the attitude of the of some of the authorities who were ready to take any evidence / excuse to not rule in favour of the students.

I still maintain that there are a few rotten apples spoiling it for the rest as with most things in life.

You are only proving my point. This is a specific issue. I don't agree with some of the broad brush painting of all Australians based on the back of this that come up on these threads. On the same token it is time for some introspection on how some of the sweeping statments that come in the form of "subi" stereotyping can come across to the other side.

Also remember that there were pages and pages of rubbish posted on the so called Monkeygate in defence of an unreliable, drunk self serving cricketer on a similar subject simply because he is an Australian.
