Re: Rugby Tri Series
I
aye.
think Rice's biggest failing was to not engage her brain before putting finger to keyboard/touchpad. Not that what she tweeted was OK - it wasn't. But she's paid the price and apologised. I'm happy to assume she was just being oafish and insensitive (and a poor sport). I'll need a lot more proof before I lump her in with the homophobes.
aye.

Absolutely top bloke and seriously one of the best sportsmen the country has ever produced. Apparently he was a gun golfer within a year of taking it up, he was a pretty good goal kicker as well.
....... a way above average cricketer as well.

Had Rice uttered it verbally in the heat of the moment, you could almost excuse her on the grounds of euphoric brainfade. The fact though that she chose togo to the effort to locate her twitter account and broadcast it to the world is more indicative of her true colours.
Nice tits.

Re: Rugby Tri Series
The words 'foggot' and 'gay' are used as insults by many people, to mean much the same as, say, '*sh!t*'. As in an inept, foolish, or contemptible person.
While not saying what Rice did was acceptable, had she called the Jaaps '*sh!t*', would there be as much fuss?
Moral of the story is, temper your words - in any situation - to the audience.

That would still be offensive to sh!theads - for all their faults they don't deserve to be compared to South African rugby players.

She may have been constrained by twitter's 140-character limit per 'tweet'. Of course, had she said 'jaapies' that still would have fitted in.

If he had played AFL, I reckon he would have been one of the ATG ruckmen.
His nickname says it all. "Nobody". Because 'nobody's' perfect.
