Boeta Dippenaar signs for Leicestershire
Really scraping the bottom of the barrel there. I take it Gerry Leibenberg wasn't available?

No, say it isn't true.
We can't keep losing all our top players to Kolpak agreements.

I wish he was a Kolpak. He's signed as an overseas player.

I guess Leics are confident he wont be in South Africa's touring squad to England next summer. Be positive Bliks. Maybe Cricket SA gave Leics the word that he wouldnt be required.

Or maybe he thinks that he has a chance of playing if he's already in England? Nothing about Boeta Dippenaar is positive, unless he's announcing his retirement.

Doubt he is totally been ruled out for future selection. After all, he's the SAfrican A team captain.

Coach Tim Boon said: "Boeta will add much-needed experience to the batting line-up with the added option of moving him up the order in the one-day game.

Re: Boeta Dippenaar signs for Leicestershire
Which player(s) in world cricket would you least like your state team or county to sign?
eg:
Bliks: 'Boeta returns to South Africa'
Merlin: 'Ramps and Bell signed to stiffen Middlesex middle order'
Zim: 'Lehmann signs for WA' or 'MacGill returns to WA' (which would be worse?)
me: 'Tait signs for Tasmania'

Re: Boeta Dippenaar signs for Leicestershire
He has proved himself to be a consistent run scorer at first class level, and he's started the South African domestic season with some big scores. He can probably be relied on to score over 1000 county runs in a season.
