Well BCCI have the money so anything is possible. May be they counted the IPL as the away tour Laughing

That can't be the reason.

And the current FTP hasn't ended yet. So it really is a curious case!
Anyone knows about the reasons?

Nah! For money, they've already scrapped a major One day domestic tournament, to have another domestic T20 tournament apart from IPL.

BCCI will never organise tests for money.

It's not as if that domestic T20 tournament is going to bring in the crowds anyways.

And if it was money, the Australians would have been roped in. SA are not the crowd pullers.

Agreed, they normally cancel them to arrange more ODI's and T20s

If I remember right, the Saffies played just tests on their last tour last year. The ODIs were scrapped for some reason and were to be played at a later stage. India, however, had a full tour of SA which included Tests and ODIs. Shouldn't the Saffies be playing just ODIs or did I miss a tour before the tests?

Didn't SA play a One day in 05-06 season just after SL had played 7 ODIs?

I don't remember, Chandan. Must have missed that one. In that case and in view of reciprocity, India should be touring SA.

Why?

You like losing?
We have a cunning plan this time around. The series will be called "World -some championship or other", that should fix it.

India did tour in 06-07 and played one day as well as ODIs and SA reciprocated by playing only tests. So again it doesn't prove why SA should tour India again, before India reciprocrates their 2008 tour!
