I get up and he's taken a 5-fer. FFS. FFS.

If he bowls like that in the Tests then he will go a long way to winning us the Ashes.

Well I wouldn't be FFS-ing just yet. If (and I know it's a big IF) Lee bowls like that in the Tests we'll be on to a good thing.

I've got no problem having Lee in a four-man pace attack. There's enough cover there if he goes bung.

I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping we get Lee circa 2007/8 not Lee circa most of his career.

I think we might get that version of Lee. He only went crap again after that because of injury. That spell today reminds me of WI 2008 when he was at the peak of his powers.

One can only hope from a Aus view point, we get Bing not Bung looked to be bowling at good pace and moving the ball both in and away from the batsmen.
Amazing what a bit of confidence can do for the bowling.

He is a traditionally slow started to a season. His line was only a little off yesterday but as Brett Lee has shown for most of his career - than can be the diff between 0/100 and 5/60.

the scoreboard is as woeful as a zat combover...haddit again showing his butter fingers (must come in handy with Hildy),....a massive opening partnership, again showing bung cannot buy a wicket with the 1st new ball and then the abjectly talentless spiv takes 5 wickets....we are as doomed as a match in zimmy's mitts.

Yes Haddin did drop a catch.

The problem for the attack remains, not enough penetration with the new ball despite Lee taking five. In fairness to him he did bowl with good pace and a bit of fire early and had Moore plumb. He looked the pick of the pacemen.

Maybe just as much a problem is not having a reserve batsman. While Haddin will continue to ****** up, he will continue to be picked so you have to wonder what's the point of GM as a second keeper.
