Re: Australia v Sussex/Lions match thread
I would go for Siders as fourth seamer mainly because he adds a bit of left-arm variety.

To be fair to Rashid though, these conditions are probably the worst conditions imaginable for a bowler like him.

Johnson falls for the short ball as well. I'm surprised more bowlers haven't tested him out with the shirt stuff. They keep serving it up to him in his arc.

BTW, Hussey - Legend. And not too shabby from Cook either.

337-8 at Stumps - was a weird innings that.
at 165-2 the Lions never looked like taking a wicket, and yet 4 fell for 32.
Then Johnson strides in at 8 and frustrates the bowlers - got a feeling unless we work out a way to bowl to him the Aus lower order is going to put on as much as the top 5 does....
Onions, Harmison & Bresnan all performed with credit. Mahmood was poor & I think we can mark Rashid down as still raw (albeit on a first day wicket)

Didn't watch any of it, but it sounds like they weren't the most bowler-friendly conditions in the world - 337/8 isn't too bad an effort.
Just a shame they've played Hussey back into form - I thought he might end up as this tour's Gillespie.

Don't really how 'they' played Hussey back into form. He played himself back into form.

Semantics.
If "they" can take his wicket, "they" can bowl him freebies.
But, yes, I'm sure he contributed something to his success.

It's basically all Mahmood's fault - bowled dross at him then dropped him on 75. If Hussey goes on to score a bucketload of runs then it's time to get that effigy of Sajid out.
