50 up for Hughes... I hope to hell we don't feed him short and wide stuff.

Aus 257/4

Hughes 68, Ponting 79.

North 11 off 50 balls, MHussey 35 off 90

Making Ollie Rayner look like a run miser... 22-6-48-1

Great little workout for the Aussies, thanks to Sussex's mixture of first team selection and the beigeness of much of it (Sussex for relagation this season?).

Only Haddy (this time) and Zim's much-vaunted Olly (for the second time in the match) missed out.

Lee filled his heavily-endorsed boots again with a nifty, sound knock. So nailed on for the Ashes, he's almost crucified.

That'll give Mark Nicholas a (res)-erection.

Decent hit out for the Aussie batsmen with only Ollie not getting a good run.

Maybe Bung should play as our specialist No 6 - he could probably roll the arm over for 5 overs as well while the bowlers are having a rest.

Ollie's form is a worry. Hopefully he has a fluent knock v Lions. His offspin will be useful so we need him in form with the bat at no. 6.

Ominously Nielsen is very happy with Lee's form.

I expect Aus will blow Sussex away comfortably today, I guess the real test is against the Lions bowling attack next week - although the batting line up England selected for the Lions doesn't look that strong.

Aye JKL. The current Aus top 6 v a class English bowling attack might answer a question or two.

But I dread the fact that a below class Lions batting line up might gift Bung a T1 place. No

Ugh, probably. Nicely played by Sussex. No

And I'll be the first to PMSL if he actually does OK in T1.

FFS, I see he's been given the new ball in Sussex's 2nd innings. You are a deadset qunt, Drunky.
