Is it me or does the atmosphere seem kind of dead at the match? The crowd sound more like they are watching a division 2 county championship game than the first test in an ashes series.

probably it's just the grey skies .. but Holding's commentary is so uninspiring.

bring on Sunny and Geoff to add some spice into the mix.

btw why aren't there any subis on the commentary panel ?

I think you get the point.

they seem to be going through the motions there. Possibly an overdose of cricket along with the high expectations from Ashes is causing this.

Well, they are Welsh. And there don't seem to be too many actual 'grandstands'. Capacity for the ground is apparently 16 and a bit thousand. About the same as centre court at Wimbledon. Spread a bit thin, it seems.

So should we have appealed for 'handling the ball'?

Well, Bumble's shown that he's lost more of his marbles. Pietersen picks the ball up and tosses it back to Hauritz, he goes on about 'oh, you don't want to be doing that against Australia, blah freakin blah...'

IIRC the only time that's been given out in Tests was when a Paki appealed on Hilditch. Maybe one of the testicles cruched by Thommo has finally resurfaced in Lloyd's skull cavity.

Yes, but the relevance of it in matches against Australia?
