I sincerely f**king hope NOT..... not until permanent loos and an effective drainage system is installed.
Right now it is literally a sh!t hole.

Also - allow at least a hour to exit the ground.
Parking is 4 miles away and Hampshire Transport can only provide 6 double deckers to ferry to/from the ground.

The ECB also announced that Hampshire's Rose Bowl will host a Test against Sri Lanka in 2011.
The Southampton venue, which opened in 2001, will become England's 10th Test ground when it hosts one game of a two-Test series - with Cardiff hosting the other.
The Rose Bowl has already hosted nine one-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals.
Meanwhile, Cardiff received a further boost with the news that Australia will return to Wales for a one-day international in 2010, with India playing an ODI there the following year.

The Rosebowl is far from a sh!thole (granted I haven't been there!!)

I understand the transport & toilet facilities aren't up to scratch yet but it looks a lovely venue on TV

Beautiful venue Leve ..... no arguing with that ... great atmosphere and acoustics too.

But on a hot day those portaloo's all round the ground go ballistic (enough waste energy to keep Southampton in electricity for a month)... and post match, the conga line for the 6 busses out of the ground in convoy (you have to take one to get to the open field parking 4 to 5 miles away) is suicidally snail-paced.

For me ... both those issues can ruin an otherwise excellent days cricket.

KP has returned the Mitchell Johnson serve it seems...

Pietersen brought his on-field swagger with him
when replying to Johnson's statements. "It's going to be difficult for
him, tough for him," Pietersen said. "There's obviously all the
pressure on his shoulders now, he's Australia's best player,
Australia's big allrounder. We'll wait and see how that tag goes down
with him.

"I played against him in India, South Africa and
Melbourne. He's improved a lot, and he's a good cricketer. But bowling
on wickets in Australia and South Africa is a totally different story
to bowling on wickets here in England. There are a few bowlers out
there who know that the faster you bowl in England the further you go."

Yes Brett, he's talking about you.

The thing I don't get about Mitchell Johnson is he doesn't look like a bowler who should take so many wickets. He's fast but not mega-fast, accurate but not super-accurate, and seems to take wickets off some of the biggest piles of pooh you could ever imagine. I rate him as an all-round cricketer but I think his efforts sometimes flatter him.

Pretty intelligent comments from KP, btw.

Considering the way the Aussies managed to make Ollie Rayner look like Jim Laker, I think it's almost certain that England will play both Swann and Rashid.
