personally I am delighted

Post by horace on Mon 08 Jun 2009, 14:22

This morninig I heard Tim Nielson on the radio talking about the straight sets exit from the T20 rubbish...when asked about Bung he talked about important it will be for Ashes hopes from him to get some more bowling miles into his legs before the Ashes.

It would seem dimtim and the low wattage selectors are intent on Bung leading the attack in the Ashes...

Bung's ritual humiliation complete with broad smiles at the batsman as he craned his neck to follow yet another 6 over the fence augurs a rich advertisnf contracts for the bunk now Roy is out of the way, photo shoots for the NSP and of couyrse a rout in the Ashes.

I am delighted we got thrashed by the Windies and CBER's mates. I expect that Direby will get bragging rights this Pomgolian summer if they play our benighted mob.

Bung, fleas, haddit, horrors, Mr ...err...Cricket and the rapidly greying kid will wear the ignominy...but they will just turn up as invited by Hildegarde and the NSP and so it is not really the 'players' fault...hildy and the NSP will simply hide

Bung doesn't need more bowling miles in his legs, he needs them in his brain, what there is of it.

Tim Nielson needs to come clean and admit that Bung anywhere near anything but a carnival match beyond the black stump is a CA April Fools joke two months too late.

horrie, we'd agree that Bung was wrongly selected in the Ashes squad. Was that Neilsen's doing? WTF else is he to say?

he could have just said that form and fitness will be the criteria...and the bunk is a reserve bowler who nielson hopes will enjoy a relaxing holiday in the old dart

I sometimes wonder if the NSP are given a list to pick from and some names have big red circles around them and a footnote at the end saying,

"Squad of XXX number, you only need to pick XXX-2. (note red circles).

He needs some Frequent Flier miles in his legs, back to Aus. FFS.

He needs an iron bar across his legs. Anyone seen Tonya Harding?

Okay, I know it was just a T20 gig ... but watching Ponting's facial expressions, body language and general demeanour at times when Blee was being hammered around the park yesterday against SL gave a clear indication that the skipper was definitely not a happy chappie.

In fact t'would be fair to say he looked p!ssed off, angry and hateful, all rolled into one - and the acid stare was directed squarely at Blee.

Is it true that there is no love lost now between the two of them?

Horrie, I initially thought your post said 'B Lee bowling miles down the leg'.

Then I realised you were being less realistic.

Ponting was simply imagining the horror of having to bowl Lee for more than 4 overs. Looking on the bright side ... none of our main bowlers have been injured in this meaningless competition.
