Saving test cricket- LETS get behind the fast bowlers

Post by PlanetPakistan on Sun 1 Mar 2009 - 6:59

...ok let me get straight to the point

Enough is enough

Stop openly rooting for "your" teams and start rooting for Fast bowlers REGARDLESS of where they are from and regardless of the fact that they could be playing AGAINST your team

Saving Test Cricket is as simple as leaving a bit of grass on top.

Bowlers of real quality could produce results on any pitch. Given the lack of such bowlers in world cricket right now then it's up to the groundsmen to come up with "result" pitches.

Perhaps we should all have drop-in pitches, grown in a lab, that are designed to be a bit of everything: hard and quick for the pace bowlers, bit of grass to grip the ball for the seamers, slightly worn at both ends for the spinners, and true-bouncing for the batsmen.

There you go. Solved it. Any other of cricket's issues that need fixing, just give me a call.

You can't be serious PP.

What will be left of our beloved game if all the extreme bias, self-righteous acrimony, fulminating xenophobia, and impassioned venom, loathing and scorn are allowed to ebb out of it?

Do you want to kill our game stone dead? Shame on you, man Evil or Very Mad
