Thanks for the messages everyone. Been very busy so not had chance to respond sooner, but seeing as it isn't a 'proper' birthday this year it matters less!
For anyone who cares to know, I ended up having to down a pint of everything unpleasant in my flat, including copious amounts of alcohol, ice cream, curry powder and a frozen chip, before being dragged bleary eyed into town from whence lots of pictures of me that i don't remember being taken wearing other people's sunglasses and pulling unusual dance moves with a pained expression on my face have appeared on facebook. Par for the course really.
