Durham signs Dave Warner for T20
I'm sure he starting to wonder whether he should bother with that first class rubbish.

He probably shouldn't bother with much else at all on the evidence of his performances in semi-real cricket.

It had to happen - some county was bound to be tempted to sign Warner. But Durham FFS! The ball ball will dart off the seam more in one over than he's used to in an entire season in Aus.

Well, if he fails, it's all just hit and giggle in your jammies, isn't it? The Brian Rix form of the game.
And if he comes off, it can acclimatise him to "English conditions" and cement his place in the Oz OD side for years of Pom-crushing to come.
So what's the problem?

I think Davey Boy Warner should go back to the nets, learn a solid forward defensive stroke and then return.

It's a bit of a joke really, I think the merging of counties would strengthen the quality of players. Although, it would take a lot longer for young talent to prove themselves and it would be harder for them to get first class games under their belt.
