Sources suggest that it would take around £400,000 to cover his salary and relocation costs.

Hugh Morris, the director of England cricket, is in charge of appointing Moores' successor. Ashley Giles, the Warwickshire director of cricket, is thought to be considering applying for the job although it seems likely that the ECB will look overseas.
