Looking at Moises' stats for the season, including his less than stellar performance for the NSW second XI last week gives credence to Hookes' comments all those years ago about the brown paper bag.

**breaking news**
finally a logical explanation for the selection of budding super dead star - Reeks..
the GFC (no not the Geelong Footy Club) has left the ACB in a financially embarassed position... the T20 is in Spiv Central and the selection of Reeks has saved a plane fare...the bus fares wil also be saved because Reeks will run to the ground in an effort by the ACB to show its commitment to cutting greenhouse gases

FFS horrie . . . I think T20 is just the format to give 11 uncapped youngsters a chance to have a hit and giggle . . . maybe inspire them to put their heads down and work for greater honours . . . no test player should ever be picked again . . .

sage...i am perfectly happy then to agree with the ACB's assessment of Haddin (FFS), 'burbs and reeks as exciting young talents...provided they never play a serious cricket match for Australia...on this note I am delighted phew was not selected

Injured Clarke and Johnson to miss Twenty20
Cricinfo staff
February 13, 2009
Michael Clarke's back injury has forced him out of the Twenty20 against New Zealand in Sydney on Sunday and he will be replaced by Victoria's Rob Quiney. Mitchell Johnson will also miss the game due to an ankle problem and the pair will rest ahead of Monday's departure to South Africa.
Brad Haddin will lead the team while Cameron White will be his deputy. "It's unfortunate that Michael Clarke has been forced to miss the game due to injury," Andrew Hilditch, the chairman of selectors, said. "Given the side leaves for South Africa the morning after the game in Sydney, there was really no alternative but to take a conservative approach to management of this minor injury.
"It does present a great opportunity for Rob Quiney to join the Australian squad. Rob has performed well in Twenty20 cricket this year, with probably the highlight being his excellent innings in the Big Bash final."
Australia's physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said: "Michael Clarke has been experiencing back pain since the one-day game in Adelaide this week. While he's made some improvement over the last three or four days, the decision has been made to withdraw him from the Twenty20 game on Sunday in order to maximise his recovery time in advance of Australia's tour of South Africa.
"Mitchell has a niggling injury to his right ankle, which has been causing him discomfort." Johnson received a cortisone injection but is expected to be fit for the tour game in Potchefstroom next week.

When was Clarke last free from trouble with his back - wasn't he having trouble with it in India?

Takes me to a story on Valentine's Day on Ten Evening News last night. Frank Colletta did a story on increased visits to chiropractors and physiotherapists in the wake of Valentine's Day. As he concluded the story he whispered to the camera something like "the massagers actually think it's more related Shagger's Back". Back to the studio - a cobsmacked Sandra Sully blinks and says "I can't believe he just said that!!"
