What film are you planning to watch?

Post by doremi on Mon Oct 01, 2007 9:03 am

Needs a film thread.

I watched American History X today. Thought it was quite brilliant, Ed Norton is a powerful actor.

Rumour has it that Norton used his Hollywood "muscle" to go behind the director's back and completely re-edit the movie to showcase his performance more.

He was subsequently nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for the role... columbo

Is 'Kenny' any good. Or is it just sh*t?

The two best films I've seen in 2007 have been "The Lives of Others" and "This is England".

I saw 'The last King of Scotland' a couple of weeks back and it's good.Based on a true story obviously, it has quite a similar feel to it as 'Hotel Rwanda'. Forrest Whittaker is excellent, but the guy who plays the young Scottish doctor can be a bit annoying at times with his silly grins.

7.5/10

Want to see Clooney's Michael Clayton and maybe Jamie Fox's Kingdom, and when it's out, Will Smith's I am Legend.

Favourite movies this year so far: Apocalypto, Blood Diamond, Smokin Aces, 300.

Saw Run, Fatboy Run - it's cute. Thought Last King of Sctoland was boring.

The Scottish doctor was probably a fictional character.

It's true to the extent that Idi Amin was indeed a ruthless, blood thirsty, and mentally unstable dictator of Uganda back in the 70's.

You've obviously not seen 'Shaun of the Dead' or 'Hot Fuzz' then.

Went to see 'Atonement' the other day, I thought it was excellent. Best performance yet from Knightley, shame she looked like a skeleton.
